Three established infrastructure specialists are bringing their expertise closer together, creating a more connected offering across highways, construction and infrastructure.
Maidstone, Kent, Monday 12th October
SG, formerly Solar Gates, MVIS and P&D Specialist Services have brought their operations together as SG, bringing decades of specialist experience across incursion control, traffic management, monitoring, visual messaging and power infrastructure into one group.
Commercial Director Anna Black says "The group now shares a single online home at WeAreSG.com, giving customers one streamlined front door to everything we do. Whether you need a single product or support across a whole scheme, it's now quicker to find the right solution and the right people."
Each business has built its reputation in a distinct area of the industry, and those specialist capabilities remain. What changes is how closely they can now work together.
Where a project crosses multiple areas of expertise, customers can draw on the wider group through a more joined-up team, with greater collaboration between engineering, installation, electrical, groundworks, service and emerging technologies
For customers working against increasingly complex project demands and higher cost pressures, that creates greater agility, fewer handovers and a clearer route through the parts of a scheme that naturally overlap.
"This is a genuine opportunity to bring together decades of combined expertise, installation, electrical, groundworks, service and emerging technologies into a single offering,"said Neil Sampson, CEO.
"As the demands on infrastructure and highways projects get more complex, with higher cost pressure, our customers shouldn't have to manage that complexity themselves. By offering agility and a single point of contact for a range of services, we also bring excellent efficiencies.
Between them, SG, MVIS and P&D bring 75 years of combined experience and more than 3000 units deployed, with established capability spanning SOSEC and INSTABOOM incursion control, Berlex portable traffic signals, CCTV and monitoring, portable VMS, power generation and EV charging infrastructure.
Customers will be able to access individual products and services in the same way as before. The difference is that, when a scheme calls for several of those capabilities, the teams behind them are now able to collaborate more effectively from specification through to delivery and ongoing support.
Recent additions to the combined range include VMS-P, ECO-GEN HVO and an end-to-end EV charging service, reflecting the broader mix of infrastructure requirements the group is increasingly supporting.
Berlex's TOPAS-approved R6+ portable traffic signals, for which SG remains the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor, will continue to be supported by the same local service and technical expertise.

The combined SG offering will be showcased at Highways UK, NEC Birmingham, 14-15 October, stand F25, including SG's recent additions VMS-P, ECO-GEN HVO and its end-to-end EV charging service.
Visitors will be able to explore the different areas of the group's capability and how they can work independently or together across a scheme.
